VOICE LESSONS

My teaching philosophy is simple; every artist has the ability to unlock their full potential and find their authentic voice.
I work with my singers to target key areas of vocal function to find sustainable, easy, flexible singing and reach all of their vocal goals.
I teach beginner to professional level singers from ages 9 and up. My studio is a safe, affirming and supportive space for LGBTQ2SA+ singers, BIPOC and singers of colour, singers of differing abilities, neurodiverse singers or singers struggling with mental health issues.

TESTIMONIALS

"Booking a lesson with Julia was my best decision of 2020. She's helped me understand and identify issues within my technique that were causing vocal difficulties and pain, putting me on the right path to fixing my bad habits and becoming a healthier singer. Even over Zoom, Julia manages to make me feel completely comfortable throughout and singing has once again become something that I look forward to." - James Oliver, "imallryt", Recording Artist

"Julia has taught me a host of new excellent techniques, has gotten me to access deeper emotions when singing, and has ensured singing has stayed FUN the whole way through! She is a gifted performer herself and she brings all of her performance experiences to her teaching, but she is humble and still respects your individual journey. Julia has already helped me achieve many of my goals, without ever making it feel like work."  - Hannah Cinel, soprano

"Julia has been helping me break down my wall of fear that I have with singing by finding my true authentic voice. Since her focus is in classical technique, Julia is showing me how to sing in a healthy and sustainable way throughout my lifetime. I believe that one of Julia's gifts as a vocal coach, performer and human being is empathy. She is there to hold my hand throughout the emotional journey of finding my voice and always gives positive words of encouragement." - Laura Quenneville, actor
